Rural Gas Station - Outdoor Wednesday

Did you ever think about all those tractors working in the fields and wonder where their gas station is? In the process of planting and harvesting a farmer can use a lot of fuel - so they have tanks available on their farms. This one caught Greg's eye - I liked it because of the pretty colors.

  5. My parents still have some of those tanks on their farm. Brings back memories of riding with my dad in the tractor while he was plowing. He made a bench in the cab where my brother and I played and slept. It was a rough ride. I still can’t believe we slept. Our family dog would follow the tractor all day long. It was the only time my mother bought little candy bars. She also made the best popcorn balls. In the fall during harvest was the only time she made them.

    Great photo! Thanks

  7. This is a great shot! My grandparents had a dairy farm and I always thought it was the neatest thing that they had a gas pump! Thanks for bringing back some sweet memories. Kathy
