Home Away from Home - SkyWatch

If you drive the old US12 road in southern Michigan between Detroit and Chicago, you will come across many of these old motels along the way. There are a few still in operation, but these have been abandoned for many years. I played around with textures to see if I could give some character to the sky.

  4. Upstate New York has lots of cabins like this. Some have been turned into storage places. :) I like how you've worked the sky.

  11. Such wonderfully charming cottages! Much more character than plain boxes. Too bad many of them are no longer in use. Happy SWF and have a great weekend!

  14. A friend of mine who lived to be 100 called these lodgings "tourist cabins." She still insisted on calling motels tourist cabins.
