Recently we found this rig at a weigh station. 252 feet long - 112 wheels -
I liked the way these fl0wering trees were reaching over the fence. They drop their petals on the side walk for us to walk on. They spread their sweet fragrance in the air for us to smell. Life is good!
Spring has arrived for sure - when you have to start mowing the lawn. The first time is always hard because the grass is high and thick and the ground is mushy and wet from "April Showers." I liked this picture because of the contrast between the vertical lines and horizontal lines.
This beautiful tree captured my attention because of it's color, size and shape. I think the cute little trees planted so carefully around the edge of this city lot also added to the the picture. This is one time when the sky distracts from the picture. I couldn't seem to get an angle that would eliminate the sky and still get the little trees. This is what I ended up with. Enjoy!
Oh what a beautiful time of year! Just imagine standing in the middle of a bunch of flowering trees. The sight and smell is wonderful. It's only natural to look Heavenward and give Thanks for the beautiful day.
This is my version of rich people's "row house". They all look alike. I usually feel sorry for people who have to live in the city. These folks are fortunate. The view from their front windows are these lovely flowering trees and their back view is a farmer's field.
The red bud trees are in bloom! What a wonderful time of the year. This was taken on north Campus at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor. All the students most be studying for finals.
If you drive the old US12 road in southern Michigan between Detroit and Chicago, you will come across many of these old motels along the way. There are a few still in operation, but these have been abandoned for many years. I played around with textures to see if I could give some character to the sky.
Under another beautiful Michigan sky, with snow still on the ground (a couple of weeks back). This building certainly catches your eye as you drive by. Apparently the owner would like it to be tropical summer all year around and this is how they did it!
