Lake Michigan Effected by Hurricane Sandy

Lake Michigan felt the effects of "Sandy".  Waves at this lighthouse near Benton Harbor were officially reaching 16-18 feet and winds at 25-35 mph with gusts up to 50 mph.   Note that the pier is entirely underwater.   I can't even imagine what the people on the east coast went through.  Our prayers are with them as they recover from this devastating event.

  1. Gorgeous photo!! I am so glad that, for us, Sandy was a non-event! I have seen photos of the devastation, and it is terrible!!
I love that photo of the stone barn, too!! I wonder what the people who made it feel about its being abandoned...
